Wouldn't it be great to be able to buy a house on your own, just like picking up a quart of milk at the grocery store? Or over the Internet, like clicking to buy a book or CD? Buying a house is still a complicated
process, with more steps looming ahead of you than might be
apparent at first. Depending on newspaper ads for house
information, or on always-outdated internet pages from the
sellers' agents, is no substitute for having your own member
of the Austin Multiple Listing Service checking constantly
for new listings that fulfill your needs. Likewise, using a quick drive-through
to assess neighborhoods, or anecdotes from business
associates to evaluate schools, can't measure up to relying
upon the knowledge of a longtime Austin resident and real
estate professional who works for you. Even if you already
know what neighborhood you want, scanning "For Sale" signs
and calling lots of sellers' agents can be a long and
frustrating process. You might have lots of agents "working
for you," but you will be on everybody's "back burner"
rather than on the "front burner" of your own buyer's
agent. And of course, these
sellers' agents really are working for the sellers.
Remember that the seller's agent is legally obligated to
get the best deal possible for the seller--and where does
that leave you, the buyer?
Try
the
alternative.
